Volunteer Support for Third Space Ministries

Third Space Ministries is a Christian charity based in Morden, whose aim is to demonstrate the love of God in the ‘third spaces’ of society ie the leisure industry, through chaplaincy, team mission, and teaching and training.  You can read more at our website www.thirdspaceministries.co.uk

Cathy Bruce has been a key volunteer for Third Space Ministries since 2013.  She has given volunteer hours per week for the last 18 months which have included events coordination, networking, serving as a Club Angel team member and leader, helping to lead our mission team in Ibiza, creating prayer spaces, as well as general administration tasks.  She has also played a very helpful role in our team meetings and vision days.

Cathy would like to continue her volunteering with Third Space Ministries and continue to raise her own funds to support her to do this.

We envisage her role as follows:

Events Coordination

  • Creating an events team
  • Overseeing the management of that group and the delegation of tasks
  • Organising 1 or 2 fundraising events per year
  • Organising a supporter’s day conference event to increase our network, inspire and encourage
  • Organising volunteer gatherings for a number of our initiatives
  • Setting the goals, deadlines, and review of tasks
  • Creating a budget for each event
  • Liaising with any external guests
  • Publicity and social media for events
  • Other networking and speaking opportunities

Cathy would continue to be a key part of the Club Angel Team helping our Nightlife Ministries Coordinator. Cathy would volunteer a percentage of her hours on a weekly basis (around 21); we would establish clear expectations; both parties would sign a volunteer agreement; we would review this after 3 and 6 months.

Thank you for considering to support Cathy.
