“More and more, the desire grows in me simply to walk around, greet people, enter their homes, sit on their doorsteps, play ball, throw water, and be known as someone who wants to live with them. It is a privilege to have the time to practice this simple ministry of presence. Still, it is not as simple as it seems. My own desire to be useful, to do something significant, or to be part of some impressive project is so strong that soon my time is taken up by meetings, conferences, study groups, and workshops that prevent me from walking the streets. It is difficult not to have plans, not to organize people around an urgent cause, and not to feel that you are working directly for social progress. But I wonder more and more if the first thing shouldn’t be to know people by name, to eat and drink with them, to listen to their stories and tell your own, and to let them know with words, handshakes, and hugs that you do not simply like them, but truly love them” – Henri Nouwen

I love music. Both watching it live and listening to it. I believe in the power of music to impact people’s moods. I love using secular music to worship God too – using uplifting messages and lyrics and shifting the focus to be about God. I love worshipping on the dancefloor 🙂

I enjoy festivals and have attended Glastonbury and Greenbelt in particular over the last 10 years. I have had some of the best conversations about life and God while at these festivals.

I have spent the last almost 3 years working in an Independent Coffee House. I have built up and maintained some wonderful relationships with some of the customers!

I love travelling and have been to many different countries over the years and have covered most of the continents.

I would love to network across different countries with other groups who minister in their third spaces.

I love to spend time with friends and getting to know new people in pubs and cafes.

I have 3 amazing God Children! What an amazing blessing and privilege.

I love independent coffee shops. My dream is to run my own business in the future as part of a wider ministry.

I would love to run a permanent prayer/creative space for worship.

I love singing. I want to do music lessons. I love leading worship at church.

I would love to partner with groups of Christians and Christian musicians and DJ’s to impact secular festivals and to put on our own events.

Some books that have impacted my faith walk and that I highly recommend to you:

Red Moon Rising – Pete Greig

Gatecrashing – Brian Heasley

Night Vision – Jon Oliver
